Residence Life Scholarships for Transfer Students

Hard-working transfer students get a break at CMU – free board in any standard CMU residence hall room.
If you prefer, pay a little from your own pocket and move into one of our beautiful new units featuring individual bedrooms for each student.

Join a community of upper-class students in one of the most spacious residence halls in Michigan.

Who is eligible

Transfer students with 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point averages and 30 or more semester hours.

Scholarship value

Covers the cost of a standard residence hall room, value of $3,618 annually
  • Required meal plan not covered (cost ranges from $2,302 to $3,618 depending on plan selected)
  • Additional fee to live in Celani, Fabiano, Campbell, Kesseler, Kulhavi, or Robinson halls

Additional benefits

  • Can be stacked with the Transfer Recognition or Transfer Honors scholarships
  • Renewable for students who remain in good academic standing and eligible to reside in a residence hall

How to apply

  • Submit your application and transcripts for general admission to Central Michigan University
  • Fill out and submit your scholarship application by mailing it to CMU Admissions, 102 Warriner Hall, Mount Pleasant, MI 48859 or by faxing it to (989) 774-7267

Up to 50 scholarships awarded each semester, available any time until distributed
