Bachelor of Music Degree (B.Mus.)

This degree is awarded upon completion of a professional program for students aspiring to careers in musical performance or theory/composition.

General Education Requirements.......... 33-42 Semester Credit Hour
University Program Requirements (27 - 30 hours)
Competency Requirements (3-12 hours)

Specialized Studies.......... 89 Semester Credit Hours
Major: Music, with concentration in one of the following: Orchestral Instruments, Organ, Piano, Theory/Composition, Voice.

Electives
The number of elective hours will vary depending upon the hours completed in General Education.

Minimum Total for Graduation.......... 124 Semester Credit Hours

To graduate from CMU you must complete a minimum of 124 hours, at least 40 of which must be in courses numbered 300 or above. Some concentrations may require more than 124 hours for graduation.
