Central Michigan University, a comprehensive mid-sized
university, offers students their choice of 13 undergraduate degrees
and 15 graduate degrees. A richness of
opportunity, both within and outside the university’s
classrooms, made CMU the school of choice for more than 17,800
on-campus and approximately 8,700 off-campus students last
year. In fact, CMU is one of the state’s top three
universities in attracting students from every part of
Michigan.
At the heart of CMU’s success as a university is an
outstanding faculty. Internationally and nationally
recognized experts are found within the College of Science
and Technology, the College of Communication and Fine Arts,
the College of Humanities and Social & Behavioral Sciences,
the College of Business Administration, the Herbert H.&
Grace A Dow College of Health Professions, the College of
Education and Human Services, the College of Graduate
Studies, and CMU Off-Campus Programs. Substantial
teaching awards, grants and other support for both classroom
and research excellence have led to the attraction and
retention of scholars from throughout the United States.
