Application Requirements
Application Deadline/Process
The application deadline for our Fall 2012 SLP Program is January 15, 2012.
ALL applicants must apply using CSDCAS, an online application service. The student portal launch date is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7, 2011, for the 2012 application cycle. Log on to www.csdcas.org to access the online 2012 CSDCAS application. Prior to starting the application process, please take the time to review the SLP Program Directory (which is a listing of all the SLP Programs that are online with CSDCAS and each program's application requirements), along with the FAQs and Instructions, which are available on the application portal.
Supplemental Application & Fee
ALL applicants are required to submit our Supplemental Application and Fee. Click here to download the supplemental application onto your computer, complete it on your computer, and mail the application and fee to the name/address listed on the last page of the application.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
The GRE is not required by CMU's SLP Program.
ECE, WES, or Josef Silney and Associates, Inc. Requirements
Coursework taken at international institutions (from non-English speaking countries) must be evaluated by ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.), WES (World Education Services), or Josef Silney and Associates, Inc. Official transcripts and an official course-by-course evaluation must be sent directly from the college/university attended and the evaluation service to CSDCAS and to the College of Health Professions, CHP Admissions Office, HPB 1212, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48859. Canadian students are excluded from this requirement.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
All prospective students who are not citizens of a TOEFL-exampt country must submit a satisfactory test score on the TOEFL or IELTS. Score requirements: 79 or 6.5 on the TOEFL/IELTS for regular admission, 61-78 or 5.5 and 6.0 for conditional admission. International students are also required to submit to CMU an I-20 Affidavit/Statement of Support form, along with evidence of financial support - reference: 2011-2012 Cost Information.
