Blanche Connell Scholarship
Established in 1988 by Southeastern Michigan Hospital Purchasing Management, Inc., in honor of Blanche Connell, for a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) degree with a concentration in Health Services Administration. Edward C. Brown Award
Established in 1991 by CMU faculty, staff, students and friends in memory of Edward C. Brown, Director of CMU Health Services from 1978 to 1990, for students in health education. Contact Central Michigan Health Services office for an application.
Fisher/O'Boyle Scholarship
Established in 2007 by Dr. Jodi Brookins-Fisher and Dr. Irene O'Boyle. Income from the endowment will support a scholarship for a junior or senior with a declared major in public health education and health promotion or school health education with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Mary Lou Bruce Scholarship
Established in 1983 by Lieutenant Colonel Gene D. Bruce and friends in memory of Mary Lou, a dedicated military wife and valued member of the military science and health education families and Mt. Pleasant community, for a student majoring in health education and health science. Contact the School of Health Sciences for an application.
The Minelli Family Endowed Award
Awarded bi-annually to a student who has a signed undergraduate major or minor in the School of Health Sciences. The scholarship will be approximately $500 to be applied toward tuition and fees. The recipient is eligible to reapply for the scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded in the following semester. Contact the School of Health Sciences for an application.
Sydney and Mary Walston Award
This travel grant is intended for students who have signed a major in Public Health Education and Health Promotion or School Health Education. The award is to support learning through attendance and participation at state, national, or international professional conferences related to school or public health. Eligibility criteria include junior or senior status at CMU and an overall GPA of 2.5. Contact the School of Health Sciences for an application.
