Accreditation

The CMU PA Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).  The ARC-PA last granted the program continuing accreditation in 2006 and the next site visit will be scheduled in 2014.  Accreditation was awarded to CMU based on compliance with ARC-PA guidelines in the Standards (Standards are established by ARC-PA).

ARC-PA is an independent accrediting body overseen by a board composed of representatives of five physician organizations as well as commissioners from the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA).
