Sally Ann Smith-Hooks joined the Physician Assistant Program at Central Michigan University in 2004, and had a profound role in the organization of the program's accreditation in 2006. She accepted her current position as Executive Secretary to the Program Director in 2007. In addition to supporting the Program Director, she manages many of the program's business and organizational operations. Ms. Smith-Hooks began her professional career in 1972 with GTE-Verizon, where she held various professional positions in customer service, sales, and service communications for the company's network nationwide. She retired from GTE-Verizon in 2003.  Ms. Smith-Hooks actively participates in the Michigan Association of Physician Assistants annual conference.
