FTX 2008

This fall semester the cadets of the Chippewa Battalion attend the 3-day Field Training Exercise. The Exercise is designed to enhance the war fighting and practical skills of the cadets. The events included MOUT (Military Operations in an Urban Terrain), Repelling, Squad Tactical Exercises, Field Leadership Reaction Course, and Land Navigation. As this is a join-tactical mission with the cadets of Ferris State, teamwork and communication are must for teams to work together. The field experience for the MS 1, 2, and 3 cadets will provide them with a structure for future training. The MS4 cadets felt the burden of command as they managed their first major project as the leaders of the Chippewa Battalion. At the training on Sunday, the Cadets enjoyed a well earned meal at McDonalds.
