Research Interests

Dr. Saathoff-Wells studies families and children engaged in the international relocation cycle. Her research and applied interests focus on dimensions of well-being, identity development, and family development decisions in multiple cultures. One area of research is in the work/family interface for dual career expatriate couples. Current work in progress includes theory development and applied research with dual career couples and immigrant family life in the US.

Teaching Background

Dr. Saathoff-Wells' teaching background includes infant development, research methods, family development in adulthood, international service learning, and cultural variations in family life. As current Director of the Women’s Studies Program, she teaches the Capstone Seminar in Women’s Studies every spring.
