 The
Leadership Institute is currently accepting applications for incoming
students who are interested in being paired with a mentor for their first
year at Central Michigan University. This new program, called Leadership
Education and Development Mentoring Experience (LEAD ME), will pair
trained mentors with students who elect to receive a mentor.Students that have been selected to be a mentor will complete a comprehensive training in how to be a mentor to an incoming CMU student. Mentors will help new students become acclimated to the campus, identify campus resources, and create a four-year development plan. Becoming a mentee connects a student to CMU, and is a way to socially network with peers. Through social activities, leadership development, and fun, this program will develop leadership qualities in all students while creating lasting friendships.
