SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION UPDATE: June 20, 2011
The deadline to apply for a 2010-2011 Leader Advancement Scholarship has passed.  Applications for the 2011-2012 competition will be available in September 2011.

Nearly 2,400 applications were received for the 2009-2010 Leader Advancement Scholarship competition. Each application has been reviewed by the scholarship selection committee.  From the 2,400 applications, 100 finalists have distinguished themselves through a record of leadership and service. 

These students participated in an on-campus interview in March 2011. 

From this group of 100 finalists 40 have been selected to receive Leader Advancement Scholarship, valued at $8,000 over four years, and will participate in the LAS program. These students have been notified by phone. 

In addition to the 40 Leader Advancement Scholarships, Central Michigan University has recognized an additional 60 students with a Leadership Distinction Award valued at $3,000. 

All students are encouraged to participate in Central Michigan University’s leadership development initiatives, including Leadership Safari and Leadership Camp.  Learn More.
