Central
Michigan University is accredited
by the Higher Learning Commission
(HLC) of the North Central Association. Institutions are
reviewed every 10 years to ensure that they continue to meet the
criteria for accreditation. CMU was reviewed during the Fall
semester of 2005-06 and received accreditation for another 10
years.
During the Fall
semester of 2007-2008, CMU was reviewed as part of a self study designed to support
the request for approval to offer online programs.
This request was approved as of May 2008.
