Central Michigan University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association. Institutions are reviewed every 10 years to ensure that they continue to meet the criteria for accreditation. CMU was reviewed during the Fall semester of 2005-06. The site visit took place from October 31 - November 2 and the outcome of that reaccreditation effort can be seen by clicking on "Accreditation Status" on the left hand menu.
