Observe various holidays at the Unified Holiday Celebration

Celebrate the holidays through different cultures and faiths at CMU's annual Unified Holiday Celebration beginning at 5 p.m. Nov. 5 in the Bovee University Center Rotunda.
There will be performances, informational booths, arts and crafts for children, and a variety of unique foods.
Student groups and cultural organizations will present information and performances highlighting holidays typically celebrated toward the end of the calendar year or around the new year, such as Christmas, Ramadan, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Thai New Year and Native Celebrations.
Performances are scheduled to be made by Students in Free Enterprise, 12 CARATS, Asian Cultural Organization, Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc., and Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority Inc. and others.
Other cultural organizations will have informational tables set up to provide information and share facts about their organization, culture or religion.
Minority Student Services has partnered with CMU's Volunteer Center to collect nonperishable food items to support Operation: Food Drive until Nov. 19. All attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items that will be donated to Women's Aid Service Inc., Greater Lansing Food Bank, and the Restoration Center of Saginaw.
