Why This Program & What You'll Learn

Organizations are only as good as the people who work there. Human resource managers are the leaders responsible for building that workforce. Central Michigan University's human resource program gives you hands-on hiring experience with industry leaders.

We have partnerships with companies such as Thompson Reuters, Dow Corning, Enterprise Rent-A-Car. You'll see how companies get a competitive edge by hiring the right people, and learn how to retain and train them.

The best HR managers understand business leadership, as well as what inspires people to excel. CMU teaches both sides of that equation. You'll establish a foundation in business principles, such as accounting and finance. And you'll add to that with classes in recruitment, compensation, training and development, labor relations and more. You'll be ready to become a full contributing member of the leadership team.
