CMU
has a diverse student, faculty and staff population with people
of many different cultures from around the world. The university
recognizes that when we honor and respect these differences,
our lives and our institutions are enriched as a result.
All members of the campus community have many opportunities
to learn about the diverse cultures found at CMU. Each year,
special programs and events featuring guest speakers and performers,
are presented on campus. Some of these events include:
African Heritage Month
Asian Cultural Celebration CMU/Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe
Pow Wow
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Week Hispanic Heritage Month
Martin Luther King Jr. Week Minority Awards Celebration
Native American Month
Women's History Month
