Steve serves as the voice of CMU as university spokesman and media relations director. Though his job is stressful at times,
Steve keeps everyone smiling with his great sense of humor and masterful puns.
A CMU alumnus, Steve started working at his alma mater after several years of experience in broadcast news. He has interviewed
every president from Gerald Ford to George Bush and every Michigan governor from G. Mennon Williams to Jennifer Granholm.
“At CMU my position gives me an opportunity to interact with individuals from every department and office on campus,” he says.
“I particularly enjoy being able to share the many stories and facts about my alma mater with the public. I also work with an
incredible group of talented and fun individuals who make the office atmosphere enjoyable.”
Steve also gets involved with several professional and service organizations, and he is an avid runner. He’s competed in so many
marathons, we’d RUN out of space listing them all. Yuk yuk.
