Nearly 30 years ago, Robert found a place where he could combine his passions for blues music and photography. Ever since then he has called CMU home.

By day (and his "days" include a lot of nights and weekends!), he and his wife and fellow university photographer Peggy Brisbane photograph the life of the university, including every imaginable event, sports game and classroom activity.

"I enjoy meeting a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and disciplines across campus, as well as our alumni," Robert says. "This university is made up of an incredible number of creative, talented, educated and caring people, and I'm fortunate that my job allows me to meet most of the campus community on their turf."

On Sunday nights you can hear Robert spinning blues and soul music on his award-winning "Juke Joint" radio show on WCMU Public Radio, where he has volunteered as a deejay for 22 years. Ask him about meeting B.B. King, Aretha Franklin and James Brown - he's pretty much photographed 'em all.
