Starting with her first foray into publishing in sixth grade with the critically acclaimed Life as a Cheerio,
Cynthia has been writing anything and everything and continually marvels at the fact that someone's paying her to do it.
At CMU, she writes brochures, magazine articles, advertisements and has even dabbled in TV commercials (if you need a hand model in a pinch,
she's your girl). She loves using her creativity to brainstorm new ways to promote CMU and tell its wonderful stories. Her favorite campus
clients are the ones who are willing to get a little "edgy" in order to attract the attention their programs deserve.
Cynthia also is working toward a master's degree in humanities at Central, and she takes undergraduate Spanish classes on her lunch hour.
She loves to travel with her husband, Wesley Leonard (who works in CMU's Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions) and take
long walks through downtown Mount Pleasant with their dog, Wicket (who has no job other than being cute and sweet).
