CMU's tuition plan for students enrolled from fall 2005 through summer 2008.

Guaranteed Tuition Plan

The CMU Promise was a tuition guarantee plan that CMU began offering to undergraduate students in fall 2005, and it remains active for on-campus classes from fall 2005 through summer 2008.

Effective with the fall 2008 semester, the tuition guarantee is not being extended to new students due to financial considerations.

The plan set one unchanging tuition rate for incoming freshmen and transfer students for up to five years and also offered and unchanging room and board rate for two years.

Though new students are not eligible for The CMU Promise, they can still expect to receive one of Michigan's best educational values at CMU. For more information on costs for new students, please see this site.

Students who enrolled at CMU from fall 2005 though summer 2008 will still receive the guaranteed tuition rate set at the start of their enrollment for up to five years from when they began taking classes. A rate calculator is available here.
