About Us
The University Events office handles facility, equipment, and personnel reservations, and booking/contracts for University events and non-University conferences/events.

Among the events we handle are:
  • Speakers Series
  • Our Front Porch Series
  • Athletic Events
  • Theatre Events
  • Dance Events
  • Music Events
  • Registered Student Organization
         (RSO) events
  • non-academic conferences

    Facilities/Equipment/Personnel Reservations
    Facilities include classrooms and lecture halls, theatres, sporting complex areas, and outdoor areas. See Academic Space Rental Policy and Procedures. See the CMU Facility Rate Schedule (MS Excel doc) for specifics and pricing. (Note that space usage rates apply only to off-campus organizations; multi-day event pricing may differ from rates shown.)

    Events generally require equipment and setup personnel. See the Equipment and Personnel Rate Schedule [MS Excel doc] for general information. Use this document as a guide; contact the office for your specific needs.

    All groups desiring to schedule an event must fill in the Space Request Agreement Form [MS Word doc] a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of your activity, rooms are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Requester must read and agree to comply with the General Policies, Regulations and Guidelines for the Use of University Facilities [MS Word doc]. Return completed requests by fax (7957), email (uevents@cmich.edu)or in person to the University Events office.

    This office contracts for university artists, speakers, and on-campus space use for everything except the SAC and the University Center.

    Publicizing Your Event
    To see if your event qualifies for university-sponsored publicity, contact the Public Relations and Marketing office.
