Proposal 2 information
This section of the CMU Web site has been established to keep the CMU community informed about the impact of the passage of Proposal 2 on the university, and discussions and decisions perpetuated by the amendment to the Michigan constitution.
President Michael Rao established a committee in November 2006 to review the impact of Proposal 2 on the university and to study how CMU can continue to pursue the expansion of diversity on campus within the legal boundaries of the amendment. Members of this committee include Eileen Jennings, Michael Powell, Bruce Roscoe, Maxine Kent, Steve Smith, and Bob Martin.

The University continues to invite questions from members of the campus community. Anyone with questions about whether an identified policy or operation of the University is consistent with Proposal 2 is encouraged to submit the questions to Eileen.Jennings@cmich.edu.
