Central Michigan University is committed to offering a safe campus for your student with many resources available for his or her security.
Here are a few of the ways we keep students safe on campus:
Fast and responsive crisis response and emergency preparedness plans in place and regularly tested to respond to campus emergencies
Blue Light Phone System: A network of more than 25 phones across campus with a direct line to a police dispatcher
Nationally recognized Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates program that offers mandatory prevention programs for all incoming students; round-the-clock crisis communication; and counseling and support.
Operation Lot Watch: A volunteer-run program to monitor campus parking lots and keep campus safe.
Free bicycle registration offered by CMU Police to limit bicycle loss or theft
Complimentary Night Rides for students on campus between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. during the academic year.
