Honors Outreach Network

All students accepted into the Honors Program are eligible to become members of Honors Outreach Network (HON), a registered student organization. The Honors Outreach Network links Honors students with unique opportunities for campus and community involvement, academic excellence, networking, personal growth, and leadership development in pursuit of the outstanding scholar. Honors students can join HON by attending any general meeting and completing a membership profile.

HON was developed by Honors students in order to provide an opportunity for social activities and community service. It has become an excellent means of making friends with other Honors students and becoming involved in many activities and events across campus. HON membership is an ideal complement to one's academic achievement in the Honors Program.

Over 200 H.O.N volunteers participated in campus activities such as Into the Light, Christmas Outreach, Relay for Life, Earthday, Adopt a Highway and fundraisers for Heifer International.

If you would like more information or are interested in joining the Honors Outreach Network, please contact Judy Idema, the Honors Program Associate Director and advisor for HON, in the Honors Program office at (989) 774-3902.
