Why?

Each year 5 to 20% of the population gets the flu.

Annually more than 200,000 people are hospitalized for complications of influenza. It is a miserable and serious illness that claims more than 36,000 lives each year in the United States.

Receiving the flu vaccine reduces your risk of getting the disease and the complications, sometimes fatal, that can develop.

You can protect yourself and limit the spread of the Illness to those around you by getting an annual flu shot.

For additional information, visit: www.cdc.gov/flu.

You can walk in during the posted hours. An appointment is not required.

For your safety, you may be asked to wait for 15 minutes after your flu shot to observe for any adverse reaction to the vaccine.

University Health Services will submit charges to your insurance company for the flu vaccine if you present proof of current coverage and sign an authorization permitting us to do so. Please contact your insurance company regarding coverage for the flu vaccine.  If the charges are not covered by your insurance, charges will be placed on your university account.
