CMU College of Medicine faculty member named AAAS fellow

The American Association for the Advancement of Science selected Robert B. Petersen, CMU chair of Foundational Sciences, as a fellow for his contributions to cell biology. Petersen will be presented with a rosette pin in February. The award was formally announced in the journal Science. 

English professor has 20th book published

Jeffery Andrew Weinstock recently published "The Cambridge Companion to the American Gothic," his 20th book. The companion offers a thorough analysis of the American Gothic tradition from a 21st century perspective. Weinstock is a professor of English at CMU and an associate editor for The Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts.

Broadcast classmates win national recognition

Central Michigan University graduate student Zach Huffman and his media entrepreneurship classmates were top-12 finalists in the National Association of Broadcasters' PILOT Innovation Challenge competition. The team's proposed Drone the News consultant business would focus on news content. In addition to Huffman, team members are Tim Harkleroad, Morgan Durfee, Ryan Anderson and Matthew Nowicki.
