COVID-19 Testing

CMU will no longer require weekly testing for unvaccinated individuals. CMU will continue to offer testing services for students, faculty and staff:

  • Testing for individuals who are symptomatic or close contacts: Please use the CMU Healthscreen app to report symptoms/status. You will be contacted with guidance on testing and next steps.
  • Individuals who wish to receive a COVID-19 test for any other reason must call to make an appointment:
    • Students: Call Student Health Services at 989-774-6599, option #1.
    • Faculty/staff: Call CMU Primary Specialty Clinic at 989-774-7585, option #1.

If you traveled internationally over the break, it is recommended you also be tested at least three times during the week of your return. Find and schedule your test on the COVID-19 testing site or schedule an on-campus test using the numbers listed above.

Self-report a positive COVID-19 test

If you visit another health care provider, health department or pharmacy, or take a home test if in quarantine or isolation, and test positive for COVID-19, please report the test through the  CMU COVID-19 Healthscreen app, call the COVID-19 Tracking Team at 989-774-7136 or email immediately.

Your medical information is confidential. CMU Health will not share your diagnosis with others. Self-reporting helps university health care professionals conduct contact tracing and provide resources and support you may need for working, learning and living in our campus community.

If you receive a PCR test on campus in the Foust clinic, your test results will be automatically uploaded.

Please visit the Health & Wellness page for information on what to do if you test positive for COVID-19. If you have other questions, please contact your health care provider or call CMU Health at 989-774-6599.
