Science and Engineering Scholarships Application

In addition to department and program-specific scholarships, the College of Science and Engineering has three scholarships available. Please use the form below to apply for the Valensky Family Scholarship, the Bernie Meister Scholarship, and/or the STEM Scholarship.

Please provide additional information for each scholarship you are seeking.

Valensky Family Scholarship – Qualifications for the Valensky Family Scholarship include: have a signed CSE major and an overall GPA of at least 2.75, be a resident of either Michigan or Minnesota, and demonstrated financial need.

Bernie Meister Scholarship – Qualifications for the Bernie Meister Scholarship include: completed at least one year of STEM curriculum at CMU, be a full-time student in an undergraduate STEM curriculum, have an overall GPA of at least 3.2, and graduated from a high school in either Midland or Isabella County, Michigan.

STEM Scholarship – Qualifications for the STEM Scholarship include: majoring or intending to major in any program in the College of Science and Engineering or Neuroscience, be an incoming freshman, current freshman, or sophomore with an overall GPA of at least 3.0. This scholarship may be renewed up to four times following the initial award.
