Bowling

Bowling refers to a series of sports or leisure activities in which a player rolls or throws a bowling ball. In indoor bowling, the target is usually to knock over pins. It is typically played on flat wooden or other synthetic surfaces.

Bowling classes meet at the Riverwood Bowling Center, one mile west of campus. You can take the beginner (PED 154) or intermediate (PED 254) class depending on your previous experience. You can check with the current instructor or department secretary if you are unsure which class to take.

Scoring, pin selection, grain patterns and aiming are a few of the many topics covered. Course fees are required to cover shoe rental and facility use so no personal items are necessary to register, but they are certainly welcome. Classes meet twice a week for 50 minutes. There are many sections available during both semesters to fit your schedule, however, course availability is subject to enrollment and may not be offered every semester.
