Archery
Archery is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow, It is derived from the Latin term, arcus, describing the path of the arrow. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat, while in modern times, its main use is that of a recreational activity.

Archery at CMU:
We offer expert instruction for beginners and experienced archers. We instruct using traditional recurve bows and the more advanced compound bows to provide a range of educational experiences. Much of the class is practice based to improve technique. Safety is also a main focus of the class. Students receive one on one instruction and plenty of opportunities to gain knowledge and skill in archery. Classes are offered twice a week in both the Spring and Fall semesters for 50 minutes. Students are required to purchase arrows and any personal equipment must be approved before used in class.
