Additional Athletic Training program costs and financial aid

There are costs associated with being enrolled in the athletic training program that is in addition to typical university costs such as tuition, room, board, books and course fees. They include but are not limited to: immunizations; apparel to adhere to dress code(s), First Aid and CPR certifications; e-value; drug screening criminal background checks; and travel to and from off-campus clinical field experience within a 35-mile radius.

Approximate Cost:

ACEMAPP: $50 Annually.

Apparel: $50-$100.

Criminal Background Check:  $10-$20 (one-time cost).

Drug Screening: $15-$50 (one-time cost depending on requirements of clinical field experiences).

E-Value: $155 Annually.

First Aid/CPR Certifications: $30 biannually.

Immunizations: $40 (one-time cost including but not limited to TB test and influenza inoculation).

Physical Examination: $0-$100 (one-time cost depending on personal health insurance).

Travel: Distance ranges from 0-35 miles, therefore, travel costs vary accordingly. Prior to a student being assigned to one of those sites, the Clinical Education Coordinator will ensure the student has the means to provide transportation for him- or herself.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Loans, scholarships, and other financial aid may be available to qualified students through the program, college or university. Awards are made on the basis of need, academic promise, and/or personal qualifications.
