Undergraduate Housing
Living on campus puts you at the center of all that is happening here at CMU. Join the thousands of students from around the world learning together, living together and developing new friendships. We have 21 residence halls, some part of one of our eight Living Learning Communities.
Each residence hall community has a Success Center with advisors to help you with classes, acclimating to college, putting together an academic plan and more. Each community also has a Care Advocate, trained in mental health services.

- Fitness Centers in East and Towers communities.
- Front desk staff and resources.
- Apartments are available for students over 21 years old.
Applying for housing
Once you have been admitted and submit your enrollment reservation deposit, you can begin applying for housing (housing application opens in January). If you would like to have a specific roommate, both of you must request each other during the application process. Residence hall preferences or roommate requests cannot be guaranteed but will be honored whenever possible.
