In order to update your admission to a later semester, please review and confirm your understanding of the criteria outlined below. Upon submission of the form, the Admissions Office will process your request and notify you of the result.
Use this form if you:
- Are deferring your start term for one year or less
- Have not previously requested to defer your start term
- Will not take courses at another college before your new start term
Please submit a new application instead of using this form if you:
- Are requesting to defer your starting semester more than one year from your original entry term
- Previously deferred your starting semester
- Are requesting to change your student type (freshman, transfer, graduate, etc.)
By submitting this form:
I understand that updating my admission to a later semester may impact my scholarships. The scholarships I was awarded are subject to change and I will only be eligible for scholarships available in my new starting semester.
I understand that updating my admission to a later semester may impact my tuition rate. I will be charged the current tuition rate for the level or program at the time I enroll.
I understand that updating my admission to a later semester may impact any graduate assistantship I was awarded. I will contact the Graduate Coordinator for my program to determine the impact.
I understand that I am responsible for sharing any changes to my application information with Central Michigan University. Withholding information from CMU regarding my application will make me ineligible for admission or subject to dismissal.
I understand that, if I have not already done so, I will still need to submit all final official transcripts in order to complete my admission.
I understand that updating my admission to a later semester does not change the university’s reserved right to rescind or suspend an admission decision for any reason and at any time it deems this action is warranted.
I understand that if I attend Central Michigan University, I agree to comply with all the rules and regulations of the university.
