Submitting your deposit will unlock your next steps – registering for New Student Orientation and beginning the housing selection process.
Step 1 – Set up your new CMU account.
You'll need this account for almost everything, including:
- Submitting your enrollment reservation deposit
- Receiving your student ID number and Global ID
- Setting up an official CMU email account
- Applying for financial aid
- Accepting your scholarships
- Registering for classes and housing

Step 2 – Submit or defer your deposit
The one-time enrollment reservation deposit of $175 officially reserves your place in the incoming class. To help relieve the financial pressure faced by many families during this time, we are offering the option of postponing your deposit until fall.
Log in using the Global ID and password you set up in step one. To defer your deposit, simply choose the option labeled “Defer my $175 enrollment reservation deposit. I understand this charge will be placed on my CMU account in the fall.” For those who choose to pay the deposit at this time, it is fully refundable if you cancel your admission prior to June 1.Log-in to pay or defer my deposit
