CMU & You Day

Specifically designed to showcase Central Michigan University to high school students and their families in an open house format, CMU & You Day is the premier opportunity to discover everything CMU has to offer – all while experiencing the excitement of a Division I campus during a home football Saturday. 

  • Interact with faculty and staff from each of our six colleges that house 200+ academic programs
  • Explo​re high-tech academic and research facilities
  • Learn about the admissions process and scholarship opportunities
  • Submit your application to receive priority consideration for admission and merit scholarships
  • Tour campus on your own or on a guided tour bus
  • Check out one of our 22 residence halls
  • Enjoy a complimentary lunch in one of several residential restaurant complexes
  • Visit the Student Services Fair to speak with representatives from some of the following areas: 
    • Admissio​ns, Scholarships and Financial Aid, Residence Life, Career Services, Honors Program, Study Abroad, Multicultural Academic Student Services, and many more
  • Get three free tickets to cheer on the Chippewas football team as it hosts Syracuse in an ESPN-televised game

What to do at CMU & You Day

Academic College Fairs (9 a.m. to noon) Pick one or visit all six

College of Communication and Fine Arts: Music Building
College of Education and Human Services: Education and Human Services Building
College of Health Professions: Health Professions Building
College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences: Anspach Hall
College of Science and Technology: Engineering Technology Building

Admissions Presentation (10 and 11 a.m.)
This 30-minute presentation will be held at 10 and 11 a.m. in each of the academic buildings listed above. An admissions representative will discuss the admissions process, housing and dining, ​ and scholarship opportunities.
Student Services Fair (10 a.m. to noon)
Walk through the CMU Events Center, located near Kelly/Shorts Stadium, to see displays and visit with staff from dozens of student support services areas. Offices represented include Scholarships & Financial Aid, Residence Life, Career Services, Honors Program, Study Abroad, Multicultural Academic Student Services, and many more.
Campus Bus Tours (Beginning at 10 a.m.)
Go on a bus tour of campus guided by a current CMU student ambassador. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and depart continually from Park Library's main entrance near the corner of Franklin and Preston streets.

Lunch (Beginning at 11 a.m.)
Eat like a student for the day! Enjoy a complimentary lunch in one of two residential restaurants – Real Food on Campus located in Carey/Troutman halls, or the Fresh Food Company located in Celani/Fabiano.
Football game (Kickoff at noon)
Here's your chance to be on ESPN! The network has picked up the live broadcast of the Chippewas' matchup versus Syracuse and, as part of CMU & You Day, you will receive three complimentary tickets to the noon game. There is nothing like the electricity on campus and the atmosphere inside Kelly/Shorts Stadium on a football Saturday. Bring a sign and you could find yourself on SportsCenter!​
