Registration opening in August

Specifically designed to showcase Central Michigan University to prospective students and their families in an open house format, CMU & You Day is the premier opportunity to discover everything CMU has to offer – all while experiencing the excitement of a Division I campus during a home football Saturday. 

  • Interact with faculty and staff from each of our six colleges that house 200+ academic programs
  • Explore high-tech academic and research facilities
  • Learn about the admissions process and scholarship opportunities
  • Submit your application to receive priority consideration for admission and merit scholarships
  • Tour campus, including one of our 22 residence halls
  • Enjoy a complimentary buffet-style lunch in a residential restaurant
  • Visit the student services fair to speak with representatives from many support and community areas. 

What to do at CMU & You Day 

CMU & You Day is an open house that offers guests the opportunity to explore the entire campus on their own schedule at their own pace. 



        Presentations will be offered throughout the morning. Learn more about the admissions process and life on campus, financial aid, or how to transfer from another institution. 

Academic College Fairs

       Visit with faculty members from more than 200 majors, minors, and real-world educational experiences at each of CMU's six undergraduate academic colleges:

  • College of the Arts and Media
  • College of Business Administration
  • College of Education and Human Services
  • The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions
  • College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
  • College of Science and Engineering

Campus Tours

        Walk along the tour route at your own pace and stop at various locations to interact with Campus Ambassadors who will provide information and answer questions about campus highlights. 


        Eat like a student for the day! Enjoy a complimentary, buffet-style lunch in a residential restaurant. Three lunch tickets will be provided at check-in for each registered student. Additional tickets may be purchased for $6 each. 

Community and student services fair

        Visit with staff from dozens of student support service areas, as well as representatives from the Mount Pleasant community. Offices represented include Scholarships & Financial Aid, Residence Life, Career Services, Honors Program, Study Abroad, Multicultural Academic Student Services, and many more. 

Football game

Each registered student attending CMU & You Day received up to three complimentary tickets to the Chippewa football game. Additional tickets may be purchased for $10 each. Please note the Kelly/Shorts Stadium Security policies before you arrive.
