Centralis Competition


Who: Qualifying high school seniors

What: Winners of the on-campus essay competition earn a scholarship and a seat in the Honors Program.

When: Held annually in October and November


Fire Up Fridays

Community and Student Services Fair

Who: Incoming freshmen and transfers already admitted to CMU for an upcoming term

What: Learn what to do next as you become an official CMU Chippewa.

When: Held several times each spring semester


Transfer Student Visit Days

College Days


Who: Students exploring academic areas of study

What: Dive into the people and places that make up a specific academic area at CMU. Find out why you should study your major at CMU.

When: Each academic area hosts one event on a Friday in July.


CMU & You Day


Who: Students exploring their college options

What: Experience campus on a typical fall Saturday. Learn how to apply, tour campus, explore academics and attend a football game.
