College Days visits are a great chance to get to know Central Michigan University and all the opportunities you'll have here. During the event, you'll have the chance to apply in person – before the application officially opens on August 1. When you apply the day of your visit, we'll waive your application fee. Be sure to check in when you arrive.

Until then, use the information below to get started on the process. 

Freshmen

Send your official SAT or ACT score to CMU
If you haven't taken the test yet, make sure to add us as one of your top four choices. If you've already taken the test, you can email your official score report to us at apply@cmich.edu or request it through the SAT or ACT websites. Be sure to send your score after each time you take the test.

Request your transcripts
Request your high school send your transcripts to us. Michigan high school students can request transcripts using www.parchment.com. Students in other states should ask their high school guidance counselor about their school's timing and policies.
Keep us updated with new transcripts at the end of each semester. It may mean an upgrade in your scholarship. Students enrolled in an Early/Middle College, or with credits earned through a dual enrollment program, must also submit transcripts from each college attended.

Transfers

Submit your official transcript
Have your official transcripts sent directly to CMU from all colleges you have attended. If you have completed fewer than 24 college credits, you must also submit your high school transcript.

Provide us with any of the following information you would like us to consider while reviewing your application for admission. Materials may be submitted by email.

  • ACT or SAT scores (strongly recommended if you have fewer than 24 college credits)
  • Letters of reference
  • Personal statement, including extracurricular involvements and leadership activities

When will I receive a decision?

Admission letters will start to hit mailboxes in early September. Scholarship notifications will arrive later in the fall.
