CMU Transcripts

​​​CMU Alumni now have the opportunity to order official CMU transcripts online. Potential employers may ask you for official documentation of your CMU degree and other accomplishments. The Central Michigan University Alumni Association provides alumni with all the information they need to easily secure these materials from the University.


Official Transcript Requests

Any current or former student who does not have a financial hold may request an Official Transcript from Central Michigan University.

How to request a transcript online
  • CMU alumni who have an active CMU Global ID and password may log into Centrallink and request a transcript online at:  https://apps.cmich.edu/TranscriptRequest.  Please note: If you attended CMU beginning Fall 2001 and forward, you will have a Global ID (GID).  If your GID is no longer active or you have forgotten your password, you must either call or email the Help Desk at (989) 774-3662 or helpdesk@cmich.edu first before using the on-line process. 

  • If you graduated between 1988-2000 and would like to request a Global ID (GID), you may do so through the Alumni Association web site at: Global ID Registration Form​

  • Prior students who do not have a CMU Global ID and password, or chose not to reactivate it at this time, may use the Official Transcript Request Form (Web form).  You can complete this form and then print it and either fax or mail to the Registrar’s Office.

Letters and faxed requests should include name, address, daytime phone number, CM ID number or the last 4 digits of your SSN, dates of attendance, and birth date. If a student has both an undergraduate and graduate record, both must be sent. No transcript will be released without written authorization from the student.

Ordinarily, transcripts are processed within one to three business days. There is no charge for a transcript, unless a student orders more than 5 transcripts per week. Priority service is available by specifically requesting the priority service and paying a $10.00 priority charge. Priority requests will be prepared in time for the next outgoing mail. Priority transcripts requested in person will be prepared immediately.

Alumni may request that official transcripts be sent directly to them, but most businesses and educational institutions will accept as official only those transcripts sent directly to them from the issuing institution.

Transcripts of alumni with a financial obligation to the university are not released until the obligation is paid.
