WMHW-FM 91.5 Alumni Takeover: 8:00 a.m.

Tune in to 91.5 FM to hear alumni take over the student radio station all weekend, continuing until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14.


 Rock Rally: 6 p.m.

Go to Warriner Hall’s Plachta Auditorium for the pep rally, mock rock contest for the Maroon Cup, presentation of the football team, and the announcement of the 2017 Homecoming Gold Ambassadors.


Saturday, October 14

5K run and Miles for Medals fundraising run/walk - 8:00 a.m. ​

Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at Finch Fieldhouse for the 8 a.m. start. Choose a 5K run/walk or a one-mile fun run/walk. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Michigan. Register Online


 
50 Year Reunion Brunch 9:00
Celebrating the classes of 1960 – 1967, featuring the Class of 1967.  Begin your Homecoming celebrations with brunch in Powers Hall (former Keller Union).  You can also watch the parade right from this location.  Registration required.  Register Online.


Alumni Coffee and Donuts: 9:30 a.m.

Start your day off right with complimentary coffee and donuts inside Powers Hall. Stay right here to watch the parade.


Leadership Camp Staff Reunion: 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

There is a Breakfast Reception in Carey Lounge.  More details to follow.  


Homecoming parade: 11:00 a.m.

The annual parade begins in Parking Lot 22 and travels through campus before heading north on Main Street to downtown Mount Pleasant.

Tailgate Lots Open: 11:30 a.m.

The parking lots at the south end of campus will open 4 hours prior to kickoff

Alumni Village: 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Join the free campus wide celebration near Rose Ponds for food, fun, and friends. Great get together for alumni, family and friends. Enjoy game day Chippewa spirit! Also visit with a favorite professor, grab some food, and soak up the atmosphere that is CMU Homecoming.

Tents that are in Alumni Village: College of Communication and Fine Arts, Education and Human Services, College of Health Professions, College of Medicine, College of Business Administration, College of Science and Engineering, College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences, College of to Education and Human Services, 50th Year Reunion, 50th Anniversary of Women's Basketball, Greek Life, LGBTQ,  Robinson-North Quad '78 to '84CMU Latino/Latina, CMLife, and SAPA. 

The Homecoming flash oral history program is set with Public Broadcasting for the afternoon (12:30-3:30pm), as are children’s activities at the CHSBS tent in Alumni Village and a special open house for the school house (9:00am-12:00pm) and Rowe Hall museum (1:00pm-5:00pm). 


Tailgate Village: 12:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Maroon and Gold concert series featuring Paddlebots will be playing a free concert. Features a beer garden, open to the public.


Cardboard Boat Race: 1:00 p.m.

Held in the afternoon of Homecoming, this event draws quite a crowd to Rose Ponds (near the CMU Events Center).  For two weeks, students in the Engineering programs work on building cardboard boats. They sail the boats across the ponds, and the first team to the other side wins.​​


​Football game: 3:30 p.m.

Cheer on the Chippewas as CMU takes on Toledo at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Order tickets at 1-888-FIREUP-2 or online at www.cmuchippewas.com.​​​​
