Art Walk Central 2016

          University Art Gallery is one of twenty-five venues throughout the Mt. Pleasant                Community and the largest venue for the Art Walk Central art event.  Organized by Art Reach of Mid Michigan and sponsored in part by the City of Mt. Pleasant and CMU this exhibition will feature the works of 26 artists from across Michigan.

Department of Art and Design Faculty Exhibition 2016

          Members of the Department of Art & Design faculty exhibit their current work.                Exhibition features work in painting, photography, fibers, graphic design, ceramics,        sculpture and installation by John Clarke, Jeremy Davis, Jesse Dominguez, Stephanie Galli, Anne Gochenour, Sarah Pfohl, Jonathon Russell, David Stairs, Al Wildey and Barstow Artist-in-Residence Margaret Murphy.

enLIGHTened: Work by Arizona State University

Photo Alumni Association

          The photography program at Arizona State University Hershberger Institute for               Design  and the Arts is one of the best in the nation.  The 2016 U. S. News and World Report ranked it at #9 in the nation tied with its neighbor - the University of Arizona. This exhibition was organized by the ASU Photo Association and selected by Liz Allen  and Emily Matyas and will feature work by more than 30 artist alumni from 1973 through 2012.

Head Count: Curiosities from Jen Merrill's Year Below Ground

           Jen Merrill is a Mt. Pleasant native who earned her MFA from the San                  Francisco Art Institute.  She is completing a sabbatical year in her home town where she has  focused on getting back to art making.  This exhibition will feature work she has made during this year.

          This art exhibition showcases the work by CMU Department of Art & Design                    candidates: Joshua Elston, Marie Jeffrey and Ifeoluwaloju Zuri for the BFA in Art degree as part of the requirements for their degree.

Materialized: Juried 3D Printed Art

            This exhibition will feature art created through the use of a 3D printer.  The works       will be juried by Joshua Harker, a recognized 3D printing artist and innovator. The exhibition is open to artists nationwide.

2017 Annual Juried CMU Student Art Exhibition

             Juried by an independent art professional, this exhibition is open to all CMU                 students. Awards of $750 determined by the juror. Entries accepted February 14 and                15, 2017.

Graphic Design 2017 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition 

            Exhibition done as part of a capstone class taught by David Stairs, it will feature work by candidates for the BFA in Graphic Design.
