Faculty at Oakland University and faculty advisor of WXOU
Graduated in 2005 with an M.A. in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts
I loved every minute of my experience in the school of Broadcast and Cinematic arts at Central Michigan University. From stimulating courses, a dedicated and engaged faculty and plenty of co curricular opportunities to get involved with, Central Michigan University was the perfect place for my Master's degree. It gave me the foundation to pursue three things I loved, education, teaching, and radio.
They have a number of assistantships for interested students. I was grateful to be offered an Assistantship in audio and began teaching in my first year there. The experience I had at CMU laid the foundation for where I am today.
Currently I teach several courses at Oakland University, and for twelve years also oversaw the University's student run radio station, WXOU. My experience at Central gave me the tools I needed to be a successful instructor, radio manager, and also helped in my pursuit of further graduate studies.
In addition, I also made friends that will last my lifetime.
