Theatre For Young Audiences

Each year CMU University Theatre presents one or two Theatre For Young Audiences  (TFYA) productions.  Teachers and students from around the state attend these weekday matinee performances for school groups.  Below is information about our next TYFA next production.  Information on past TFYA productions is available here
Coming February 12 and 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. for students in grades 4 to 7:
The Hundred Dresses
Written by Mary Surface Hall; based on the book by Eleanor Estes;
 Directed by Nancy Eddy

 We're pleased to invite you and your students (grades 4-7) to join us, as we present a powerful exploration of bullying and its impact on every person involved.

Based on the Newbery Honor Book of the same title, this semi-autobiographical story set in the Great Depression, is told through the eyes of a young American girl, Maddie, who watches as her classmates mercilessly tease a young Polish immigrant girl.  Maddie's silence will haunt her all her life.
