Central Michigan University’s annual Juletide Concerts this year are Friday, December 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. in Staples Family Concert Hall. Juletide concerts are the School of Music’s annual holiday gift to the community and are free and open to the public.
Come celebrate the spirit of the holidays with the CMU Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Woman’s Chorus, plus instrumental ensembles and soloists, under the direction of Dr. Nina Nash-Robertson, Dr. Alan Gumm, and Dr. Neil Mueller.
School of Music partners with United Way
In a new partnership between the School of Music and United Way of Isabella County, the 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7th Juletide Concert is presented in service and support to the Adopt-a-Family Holiday Wishes program. Here’s how it works:
- The concert is free and open to the public as always.
- Before and after the concert United Way will staff a donation station outside the Staples Concert Hall. Volunteers will be available to answer questions about the Adopt-a-Family Holiday Wishes program and accept financial contributions to support the community-based initiative.
- United Way of Isabella County’s goal is to provide support to some 150 families during the holiday season. Contributions will be used to purchase gifts for children and adults who otherwise would go without, and make holiday wishes come true for local families.
