WMHW-FM, two student run HD stations out of CMU’s School of Broadcast & Cinematic Arts, can be heard over the air on 91.5 The Mountain (Adult Album Alternative) and 101.1 The Beat (Hip Hop) or streamed worldwide at www.wmhw.org.

The Beat 101.1 is a Hip/Hop and Rhythm and Blues station that targets the 16-24 year-old listener. It features a mix of music including artists like Kanye West, Jay-Z, Eminem and local artists who are launching their musical careers.

WMHW's Mountain 91.5 FM is an Adult Album Alternative format that targets the 29-45 year-old listener. It features a mix of music including such artists as Adele, Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers and local musicians. The station also features news and sports updates as well as exclusive play-by-play coverage of CMU Women's Basketball, Softball, Men's Baseball and Beal City High School football games.

Students can get involved in various aspects of the award winning stations' operations as soon as they arrive on campus. Included in those activities are station underwriting sales and event promotion.  Both stations are run by a student-led executive staff. Executive positions are open to interested students regardless of class standing as long as they meet the GPA requirements.
