Karen brings more than 25 years in healthcare administration spanning from hospital inpatient/outpatient, medical practice management, and multistate Hospice programs, serving in the roles of Director of Health Information and Privacy Officer, Practice Administrator, Director of Operations, and National/State Hospice Administrator.

Karen has a Master of Science in Administration, Health Administration concentration from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from Ferris State University. She is also a member of the American Health Information Management Association and American College of Health Care Executives.
Karen has also served as adjunct faculty for Central Michigan University and Ferris State University, and
interim Director of the Health Information Technology program at Mid-Michigan Community College to coordinate the accreditation application for the Commission on Health Informatics and Information Management.
Karen is a long-time community member in the mid-Michigan area, growing up in Breckenridge, currently residing in Harrison with her husband. Karen's daughter is also a CMU graduate who currently teaches for Mt. Pleasant public schools. Community involvements include participating in Harrison Women’s Association to promote women in education and raising college scholarship funds for a Harrison High School student in need, given out annually.
Karen's hobbies include outdoor activities such as running, gardening, attending grand-kids sports events, boating, biking, and kayaking.
