Are you interested in health care?  Do you have a strong desire to serve your community?  Do you want to serve in a position of leadership in the exciting healthcare field?

If so perhaps you should consider pursuing a career in health administration.

The health administration program at Central Michigan University will prepare you for a variety of entry-or middle-level health service management positions.

The health administration major is designed for two groups of students:  incoming freshmen interested in working in health administration and nontraditional students who already have completed an allied health program at the associates or technical level.

A strong component of the health administration program is the faculty from both the School of Health Sciences and the College of Business Administration.  Many of these faculty members have worked in healthcare administration with professional experience as chief executive officers and financial, legal and clinical administrators.

Program coursework and practical learning experiences outside the classroom will help you learn about the basic forces, ideas, and values that shape the world of health care.  These experiences will help you to develop the reasoning, writing, and problem-solving skills that will prepare you for a health administration-related career.
