Stonish Pierce, FACHE – serves as System Vice President, Specialty Services for Beaumont Health (Beaumont), Michigan’s largest healthcare system based on inpatient admissions and net patient revenue. Beaumont is a $4.4B organization with 8 hospitals, 174 health centers, Beaumont Medical Group and 99 residency/fellowship programs with over 36,000 employees and nearly 5,000 physicians.

Prior to joining Beaumont he served as Regional Chief Ambulatory, Ancillary & Business Development Officer for Chicago-based Presence Health (Presence), the largest Catholic system in Illinois. At Presence he led nearly $20M in program design, construction and service expansions including the developments of the Presence Center for Cancer and Specialty Care, the Presence Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Care, Presence Pain Care, the Presence Children’s Health Van and two 340B satellite infusion centers. He also pioneered Presence’s ACA CountyCare enrollment efforts, launched several innovative partnerships to advance population health efforts and facilitated renovations for Cardiology, Medical Library, Patient Access and Sleep Medicine.

Before transitioning to Presence as a Director, he served as Manager, Clinical Outreach Services for Palomar Health (Palomar), the largest healthcare district in California; where he developed the Palomar Health expresscare retail clinics, deployed Palomar’s inaugural ambulatory EMR, developed a centralized support services call center, secured corporate partnerships with SUPERVALU and Medifast and served as a main writer for Palomar’s state-award winning Malcolm Baldrige application.

He remains active outside of his professional role and in the community by serving on the American College of Healthcare Executive’s (ACHE) National Program, Products & Services Committee; Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Central Michigan University MHA Advisory Board.

He previously served as national Chairman of the ACHE Early Careerist National Committee, as an ACHE Chapter President, as a state Baldrige examiner, ACHE Regent’s Advisory Councils (San Diego & Chicago), the PrimeCare Community Health Board, the Chicago Health Executives Forum’s Education & Networking Committee and as a University of Southern California (USC) Legacy through Leadership Mentor.

He has received ACHE’s Distinguished Service, Early Career Healthcare Executive and Outstanding Chapter Board Member awards. He has presented at conferences for ACHE, Becker’s Healthcare, HFMA, World Healthcare Congress and the World Research Group.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and his Master of Health Administration degree with a graduate certificate in ambulatory care management, all from USC. He is board-certified in healthcare management and a two-time recertified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
