Stonish Pierce, FACHE – is an accomplished board-certified healthcare executive with diverse leadership and clinical experiences in acute and ambulatory operations spanning not-for-profit, public, government, academic/teaching and faith-based community hospitals, integrated delivery systems, and private outpatient physical therapy firms. Since 2017, Mr. Pierce has served as System Vice President, Specialty Services at Beaumont Health, Michigan's premier and largest healthcare system based on inpatient admissions and net patient revenue. Beaumont is a $4.7B non-profit academic system with eight hospitals, nearly 200 outpatient sites, a 1,100 multispecialty group practice, a successful ACO, several JVs, and 94 physician training programs with 38,000 employees, nearly 5,000 physicians and the #1 market share in SE Michigan.

Prior to joining Beaumont, Mr. Pierce served as Regional Chief Operating and Business Development Officer for Chicago-based Presence Health (Ascension). In addition to managing hospital operations, he led $20M in program design, construction and service expansions. In his role, he led the development of the Presence Center for Cancer and Specialty Care, the Presence Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Care, Presence Pain Care, the Presence Children’s Health Van, and satellite infusion centers. Mr. Pierce also pioneered Presence’s ACA CountyCare enrollment efforts, launched several innovative partnerships to advance population health efforts and led campus expansion efforts among two acute campuses for Cardiology, Laboratory, Radiology, Patient Access, Surgery and Sleep Medicine.

Before transitioning to Presence, Mr. Pierce served as Manager of Clinical Services for Palomar Health in San Diego (Mayo Care Network) where he co-developed the system plan for centralizing hospital support services, developed the Palomar expresscare retail clinics, secured corporate partnerships, and served as a main writer for Palomar’s state-award winning Malcolm Baldrige application.

He has received ACHE's Distinguished Service, Early Career Healthcare Executive, and Outstanding Chapter Board Member awards. He has chaired or served on several ACHE national committees, as an ACHE Chapter President, Regent's Advisory Councils and local Community Boards. Mr. Pierce is also a nationally recognized presenter and has spoken at conferences for ACHE, Becker's Healthcare, HFMA, World Healthcare Congress and the World Research Group.

Mr. Pierce earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and his Master of Health Administration degree with a graduate certificate in management, all from the University of Southern California (USC). Mr. Pierce is board-certified in healthcare management and a three-time recertified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
