Students Cheerleading

Collegiate Cheerleading is an intense physical activity based upon organized routines, usually ranging anywhere from one to three minutes, which contains many components of tumbling, dance, jumps, cheers and stunting in order to direct spectators of events to cheer for sports teams at games or to participate in cheerleading competitions.

Collegiate Cheerleading at CMU:

This class was designed for two purposes. The first is to teach individuals the skills necessary to perform collegiate level cheerleading. There is no experience required, and all skill levels are invited. The other purpose is to help individuals who see themselves trying out for a collegiate cheer team refine their skills to make themselves more competitive.  The instructors are current CMU Cheerleading coaches who have national certifications in coaching and safety/spotting. The class meets once a week to maximize the experience.  This is also a new class, but very popular, so sign up quickly! Check course registration for current information.
