PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT



Our DPT Program Mission is linked to the Missions of the University and the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions (see below):


We are committed to preparing knowledgeable, skillful, reflective and ethical physical therapists who make sound clinical decisions to enhance the health, function and well-being of their patients. We seek to cultivate professionals dedicated to life-long learning and professional development, patient advocacy, and the betterment of society.


In pursuit of this mission we embrace the core values of the physical therapy profession: accountability, altruism, caring and compassion, excellence, integrity, professional duty, and social responsibility.
