Since graduating from Queens University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada), Ms. Gardon Rose further pursued her education and trained to become a Physician Assistant (Touro College, S.U.N.Y.) with a Masters degree in Clinical and Community Health Education (Wayne State University, Det.) and minor in Gerontology from Wayne State University (WSU's Institute of Gerontology, Detroit). She has worked in various healthcare settings in the metropolitan and Detroit areas - hospitals, nursing homes, NGO agencies, and managed care organizations. She takes pride in her past work with Detroit's Women's-Infants'-Children's (WIC) nutrition supplement program and her involvement with Detroit's Empowerment Zone, in particular with the acquiring of government grants for developing and coordinating a client access information and assistance initiative. Ms. Gardon Rose came to Central Michigan University in May 2008, serving as the Director of Clinical Services overseeing the Carls Center for Clinical Care and Education in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Prior to joining the PA Program in August 2013, she supported The Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions as a Privacy Officer and Interim Director of the Bridges Center for Healthy Life Transitions. After work, she enjoys playing the violin, arts and crafts, skiing, swimming, cycling, kayaking, and martial arts. Professor Gardon Rose is presently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Health Administration; she has successfully completed her coursework and comprehensive examination, and is making progress on her dissertation.
